Ayoba is a free application developed and launched in 2019, initially with a focus on instant messaging. Today, the app, tailored to the unique needs of African users, offers access to an ecosystem of digital services & solutions, including a growing variety of micro-apps, games, music, news, browsing, mobile money integration and more. The app is set to disrupt the African digital landscape through its innovative and inclusive approach to technology.
Through this collaboration, the UCT GSB Solution Space aims to further deliver on its promise to enable entrepreneurial talent, in South Africa and across the continent. The start-up accelerator was founded on a multi-stakeholder approach, fusing academia, industry, and local communities. Now, with ayoba, UCT GSB Solution Space will be able to fortify its industry arm by offering E-Track participants in 2021 added support from a team of tech start-up professionals, access to digital business & consumer solutions and scaling opportunities with millions of existing ayoba users across the continent. Furthermore, ayoba will support the start-ups with access to resources, business and technology mentoring and co-working space through its Developer Programme.
