This programme, which is coordinated by Solution Space, run by Shaper, and funded by ayoba, aims to identify motivated young people from local communities with a raw talent for web and software development, offering them an opportunity to take their skills to the next level. Students gain practical, hands-on technical skills which are needed in the real world.
The programme primarily focuses on modern web and application development and covers everything from design and UI/UX development to API and cloud services. By the end of the programme, students gain the skills required to design, develop, and host a basic PWA (progressive web application). The PWA (or micro-app) is supposed to provide a tech solution to a problem within the students' communities of Philippi and surrounding areas.
To date over 100 students have graduated as full-stack developers.
